Born in Berlin in 1969, Marco was raised in his home town as the youngest of three brothers. His acting career started somewhat unexpectedly when he was cast to play lead in the award-winning feature EUROPA, EUROPA in 1989. The same year Marco played a disabled boy in the German tv play HURENGLÜCK. After taking actors classes in Berlin und Paris he played the title role in French-American co-production FOREIGN STUDENT 1993. In 1994 Marco moved to Los Angeles where he played in THE IMMORTAL BELOVED (with Gary Oldman), in DNA (with Marlon Brando and Val Kilmer), and in URBAN LEGENDS – THE FINAL CUT. In Germany Marco could be seen in 008 – AGENT WIDER WILLEN, DIE CLEVEREN, AUTOBAHNPOLIZEI, WOLFFS REVIER/WOLFF´S TURFF, TATORT, EIN FALL FÜR ZWEI, SOKO WISMAR, NOTRUF HAFENKANTE and WILSBERG.In Bavaria, he played Romeo in ROMEO UND JULIA and Konstantin in DIE MÖWE and on tour the Magician in GELIEBTE HEXE . 2009/10 he was Jeff in DIE NADEL DER KLEOPATRA (with Cosma Shiva Hagen, Ingrid van Bergen and Phillipp Ungeheuer) in Berlin. At the Zwingerfestspiele Dresden 2011 he was Böttger, the alchemist, in Dieter Wedel's staging of DIE MÄTRESSE DES KÖNIGS.
1997 he visited the University of California and the UCLA-Extension for his film-and photographer-studies.
Marco was to be seen on cinema screen as Brother Ulrich in LUTHER. In 2006 he played the role of scientist and spy Klaus Fuchs in NUCLEAR RACE.
Marco is a scuba diving enthusiast and likes to play piano.
